Our employees, a circle of close professional associates, have years of experience in the printing industry, they are able to evaluate a project and come to a clear understanding of the task at hand. Each project has unique features that are recognized and addressed throughout the production process. With this experience and 20,000 square feet of space, we are big enough to handle virtually every task you may present. We are also small enough for each project to be addressed by the guy whose name is on the door, Chris Cullen.

New era unfolds for Hillis Printing. Chris Cullen has assumed ownership and operation of Hillis Printing after 3 generations of family ownership. “The well established customer base, complete roster of ½ size litho equipment, and most importantly, the people and strong printing legacy of Hillis Printing make this a most exciting challenge.” Chris Cullen has a family business background having served as Vice President of Sales @ Apex Die for many years, and is currently on the Board of Directors for the Visual Media Alliance(formerly PINC), and the Printing Industries Benefit Trust(PIBT), and a Cal Poly GrC graduate.

Mark Ellis, COO

Mark started with Hillis Printing in 1989 as a delivery person. With a background in design, he became intrigued with the entire printing process. He quickly worked his way through the ranks of each department becoming fluent in all aspects of the offset world. The pressroom was where he found his niche and worked the next ten years as the lead pressman. In 2001, Mark took on sales as his next career challenge. Successfully combining his experience, knowledge and history with Hillis Printing, Mark can assist you in finding the best solution for your printing needs.

Chuck Smith, Sales Manager

Chuck has been in the printing industry since the early 70’s. Over the past 30 years he has been involved in all facets of printing, from being a press operator to an owner. His experience and enthusiasm combine to make him a very effective sales person with the ability to aid a buyer from planning to production.
